I asked Petra last night how her birthday had been. She gave me a huge smile and said, “Oh my goodness, it was good!” It’s lovely that we were able to give her such a happy day.
Right now, she and Nanny are dressing the paperdoll Nanny gave her for her birthday. Petra’s wearing her party dress, hairclips, clip-on earrings, and the pink ballet slippers out of the shoe set Nanny bought. And we’ve just had morning tea which involved still more cake. Petra tells me that she had such a nice time yesterday that she wants to keep celebrating.
