Petra’s been tired, cuddly, and more likely to cry than usual for the last couple of days – all signs that she’s fighting some kind of bug. It didn’t seem to be anything major, but this afternoon, she said, “Mama, why is the house spinning? I haven’t been twirling around.” She seemed interested, rather than distressed, but I leaped into action, as one does, stripping off her clothes, giving her a drink and some paracetamol, and generally doing my best to lower her temperature.
She had dinner and a cool bath and we packed her off to bed early. I hope she feels better tomorrow – I hate seeing her uncomfortable.
