Dunedin’s special relationship with nude blokes continues. Every year a bunch of students organise a game of nude rugby before the first test match of the year. This year’s game featured a woman player, three fully-clothed streakers, and the involuntary removal of a sulu (a sarong-type article worn by Fijian men) from one of the players on the Fijian Invitational Team. It also featured a biting Dunedin southerly, single-digit temperatures, and probably a few skiffs of rain. They breed them hardy in the south.
