Twisting by the Pool

We’ve getting out and about on our weekends (when it’s not raining) to suss out our new city. Yesterday, we found the climbing gym in Lower Hutt. Last weekend we went to a cafe on the edge of Khandallah and stumbled onto a whole heap of useful things. The local summer pool, a playground with a cool flying fox, and some steep tracks to the top of the hill (good for Travis).

Today, we worked the area hard. Petra and Travis trekked up the hill this morning, and played in the playground. And this afternoon, we went to the pool. Petra loved it. She played in the small pool until she was turning blue and shaking all over, and still managed to put up a protest about leaving through her chattering teeth.
