We’ve spent the beginning of the year at home, trying to beat the house into some kind of order and just hanging out.
Our back yard is treed and fenced to protect us from the worst of the Wellington winds – it’s a private, sunny spot.
Petra loves to get out there as much as she can. We inspect the strawberries and the various insects to be found. And Petra digs in the dirt. Today we found a nice ripe strawberry – it didn’t last long but I managed to take a picture or two before Petra scoffed it. And the stick insect that’s taken up residence on the right-hand strawberry planter was obliging enough to be on the top side of the leaves.
