Merry Christmas Everyone

Petra's having breakfast so I'm in my lounge watching the sun come up on a pleasantly, unusually still San Jose day.  Instead of morning traffic, I hear birds.

We're on our way back to bed right now, but later we'll take a walk in the park a and look at all the kids riding their Christmas bikes before coming home to cook ourselves a yummy dinner.  I'm looking forward to it.

In the meantime here's A Fairytale of New York by the Pogues.  It's a Christmas song that manages to be both raucous and poignant.

  1. Oooooo!I love the Pogues and that's my favorite! I hadn't heard it on the radio at all this season and I thought I would (haven't heard Cheech and Chong or the Hanukah Song either, feh!).The Pogues and John Lennon's War is Over and I'm happy with the world.

Glad you liked it!! 🙂 It's my favorite Christmas song as well. (Although I have to confess a sneaking fondness for Snoopy's Christmas as well – left over from my childhood.)I don't know the Cheech and Chong song – I'll have to look on Youtube…..
